Cryolipolysis using the Zeltiq device

The Zeltiq cryolipolysis device, which is used in Medi, was developed by the American company Zeltiq Aesthetics in 2009. During the sculpting process with the Zeltiq device, thanks to a variety of attachments, you can influence different areas of the body.

How is cryolipolysis performed?

Before the procedure, the doctor conducts a thorough examination of the patient, measures the size of the fold, uses a special marker to mark the area of ​​treatment, and selects an applicator of the desired size and shape. 

A gel-soaked cloth is applied to the problem area to protect the skin, and an applicator is placed on top of it. Using a vacuum method, the skin along with the fat fold is drawn into its cavity. The temperature inside the nozzle drops – controlled local freezing occurs. 

Depending on the area being treated and the attachment chosen, the procedure can take from 35 minutes to 2 hours. During this time, the patient can read, work on a laptop, or even fall asleep. 

Cryolipolysis results

Already after the first session, about a quarter of the volume of fat deposits disappears within 2 months. After 6-8 weeks the procedure can be repeated.
